Servants

"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake." (2 Corinthians 4:5 KJV)

The disciples were committed to preaching the Word and not about themselves. They were servants in a ministry that was given to them by Christ. We are called also to be Christ's servants, and just as He told his disciples to go and preach the good news, we are to do the same today.

Jesus will return one day and all creation will acknowledge Him and praise Him. Until that time, we are called to be messengers, the voice to tell others about Him. Although people cannot physically see Christ today, they can see us. As we share the good news with others, they should see Christ alive in us by our actions & words.

Let our prayers be in thankfulness that we have been saved from sin. But also, may we be thankful that we have the privilege of sharing Christ with others. Ask Christ today to help you let His life be shown through you.
